Warranty
Your SISKEN item is covered by a 12 month warranty. This means that we will repair, replace or refund an item deemed to be faulty for a 12 month period from the initial date of purchase. Upon examining the faulty item, it is up to our discretion as to the course of action to be taken (repair, replace or refund).
This warranty does not cover item that have not be cared for as recommended in our Product Care. Damage incurred by the purchaser in failing to maintaining and care for the product properly will not be covered by our warranty.
Please note it does not cover reasonable wear and tear, stains, marked or torn leather or soiled items.
SISKEN items are not made for ‘heavy duty use’, due to the nature of the soft leathers and fabrics used within every SISKEN piece. They most certainly can be used everyday, however should be treated as you would a special leather item, with love and care.
Leather
All of SISKEN’s products are made from high quality genuine milling leather. The tanning process used to produce milling leather, intensifies the natural fine lines and textures that already exist within each individual hide. This gives each SISKEN product a a beautiful vintage feeling leather that is intended to wear and further soften with age and use.
Fabric
We recommend for any SISKEN piece that features an external detail of fabric within the design, to treat this fabric with a good quality scotch guard. Please follow the application instructions on your chosen product.
How do I care for my SISKEN products?
The SISKEN Collection is a combination of leather, cotton and linen. All pieces are handmade and hand printed.
The nature of these materials is quite hard wearing but common sense must be taken to ensure your item is well maintained. Please note that due to the natural qualities of the materials used in all SISKEN products, there may be variations in colour, feel and surface texture. These are not considered flaws, but part of the unique beauty that are these natural materials.
To keep your SISKEN piece buttery soft and supple, we recommend that you use a good quality leather cream or conditioner to further nourish the leather. This should also help to protect from extensive rubbing and/or scratches. When you are not using your SISKEN piece, ensure it is stored in the complimentary dust bag included when purchasing. This will also protect the leather from dust mites and add the longevity of your piece.
When purchasing a SISKEN piece in a lighter colour, it is recommended to treat the leather with a good quality leather protector (following the instructions on your chosen product). Please note that light colours may mark easily, ensure that pens and oils are kept away from your purchase.
To clean any marks on the leather, lightly sponge the affected area with a week solution of Tana leather shampoo. Sponging the entire panel to avoid watermarks. Do not rub excessively. To clean any marks on the fabric lining, lightly sponge the affected area with a weak solution of wool wash.
